KiloHearts Disperser is a Windows VST effect plugin to make your audio sound like your own personal drone. It has only three controls, but if you're good with automation, you can create a variety of sounds to impress your friends and family. The main control is the LFO section, which also has an X-Y editable area that allows for many different sounds to be created. You can also add body percussion from the generator section for more interesting tones. Oh yeah... and it's free. Over the course of a year, KiloHearts has released several different versions of Disperser. For the most part, additional versions have been bug fixes and/or compatibility updates. New features have also been added with each version, including new supported formats listed below. At this time KiloHearts has not released any version of Disperser for OS X. Version 1 was released on July 12, 2009 as a Windows-only plugin for 32-bit VST plugins using 32 or 64 bit Windows operating systems with no support for mono or stereo at this time. Version 1.1 was released on October 14, 2009 and added support for mono and stereo without any further changes to the architecture of the plugin. Version 2 was released on April 29, 2010 as a Windows-only plugin for 32-bit VST plugins using 32 or 64 bit Windows operating systems with no support for mono or stereo at this time. Version 2.1 was released on January 31, 2011 and added support for mono and stereo without any further changes to the architecture of the plugin. Version 3 was released on November 16, 2012 as a Windows-only plugin for 64-bit VST plugins using 64 bit Windows operating systems with no support for mono or stereo. The 64 bit version adds support for MSAA, so there is no difference in sound quality between 32 and 64-bit versions, the only difference is the amount of memory required to load it.
